London Region Prep School’ Athletics Meet

Earlier this month, 14 pupils from Year 6 to Top Form (Year 8), travelled to Thames Valley Athletics Track to compete in the Regional Championships. For some events there were heats then finals, and for others it was straight finals. Everyone competed well and we had some great results!

Well done to the team of Alex A-D, Will H, Evie R, Chloe L, Max M, Mattie J, Isaac G, Charlie N, Stanley L, Will P, Serena B, Ava S, Anna W & Eloise W.

Special mention to our top 5 finishers:

• 5th – Will P U14B 200m and Chloe L U12G 200m
• 4th – Alex A-D U12B 800m & Mattie J U13B Javelin.

There are certificates from the organisers for the top 3 finishers.

• 3rd – U14 G 4x100m Relay team (Eloise, Serena, Ava & Anna), Max M U13B Discus, Evie R U12G 100m,
• 2nd – Anna W U14G 200m, Stanley L U13B Long Jump & Will H U12B 1500m.

In 1st position and therefore Regional Champions were Stanley L U12B High Jump and Eloise W U14G Javelin!

Stanley and Eloise have therefore qualified to represent the School and the London Region at the National Finals at Nuneaton on Monday 3rd July!
