Moving to the area

We are seeing increasing numbers of families choosing to move away from city life as their children get older, to enable them to enjoy the space and fresh air of the countryside whilst still staying within easy reach of the city for work – truly the best of both worlds!

While this is an exciting time, it can also be quite daunting; we are happy to help families who may be considering a move, or who have already made the decision to move and are now looking for a suitable school for their children. The Beechwood Park community is an incredibly friendly and welcoming one, and we would be happy to introduce families to others who may have already made the move.

Whilst enjoying a rural location, Beechwood Park is conveniently located close to St Albans, Harpenden and Berkhamsted, all of which offer fast rail links and easy commuter routes into London (less than 30 minutes). We are also close to the M1 and not far from the M25, and in easy reach of Luton Airport.

Most of our families live in Harpenden, St Albans, Berkhamsted and the surrounding villages (Markyate and Flamstead, Redbourn, The Gaddesdens, Potten End, Studham). The school operates minibus and coach routes from a number of these locations – see the School Transport page for more information.

We have links with a number of local estate agents, and would be happy to recommend these to any families considering a move to the area.

"Approached down a seemingly endless, winding driveway as if entering a fairy tale, steeped in history, the main school building is an immaculately restored Tudor manor house nestled amongst fields and woodland as far as the eye can see"
