This week in Woodlands

Moving, Ducklings and Forest Adventures….

Another week passes and we have enjoyed so many exciting experiences over the last seven days since I last wrote to you.

Please have a flick through the photos below and see:

  • Woodlanders balancing on a tractor tyre and rolling a car tyre;
  • Little red people in a wet forest learning about Spring time;
  • Both excited and nervous faces anticipating the emergence of our ducklings, and then on Thursday morning, the children arrived to find four beautiful little yellow duckings;
  • Woodlanders eating egg mayonnaise sandwiches that they have made themselves.

Every day in Woodlands offers your children an exciting, varied and fun routine where they learn and grow in knowledge and confidence.

A Week in Woodlands 18 March 2022

Heads up for next week:

  • Do enter our Easter Raffle – Check out your classes name board at drop off and collection;
  • More duckling adventures await your children;
  • Cooking and craft focused on Spring and Easter time.

Enjoy your weekend!

From the Junior Librarians

Mixed by Arree Chung

Mixed is a heart-warming story of peace and inclusion.

Initially the colours are separated by their characteristics and distinctly different traits, however they soon learn that life can be more enjoyable together.

Boldly illustrated, readers are immediately drawn in, while subtly learning the results when two prime colours are mixed.

Leave a Review on Daynurseries.co.uk

We are very grateful to those of you who have already left a review for Woodlands Nursery on daynurseries.co.uk.  As I am sure you will be aware, this  is the “go to” website for many parents seeking information and reviews about nurseries; I am sure many of you will have visited the site yourselves, and so will understand how important it is to read real reviews by real parents, perhaps before even visiting an early years setting.

Last year, we were delighted to be named in the Top 20 Nurseries in the East of England, and we would like to keep that honour in 2022!  Please could you help us by leaving your review, clicking on the link below to do so?

Thank you!

TICKETS FOR SENIOR PRODUCTION OF PRIVATE PEACEFUL

Now that cast parents have had to opportunity to reserve tickets for this year’s Beechwood production of Private Peaceful, we would like to offer all parents the opportunity to reserve up to two tickets for one performance on either Thursday 24 or Friday 25 March.

There is no charge for tickets, but there will be charity collection buckets available at each performance, we will divide the proceeds equally between the Drama Department and this year’s School charity ‘Herts Welcomes Refugees’.

All pupils from Years 5 will watch a performance of the show on Monday 21 March. We feel that this production is a little too grown-up for the younger pupils. You may, therefore, wish to invite other family members along.

Tickets can be booked here

If you have any queries related to ticketing, please contact Gail Gamble via email G.Gamble@beechwoodpark.com

There will be a drinks reception in the courtyard, by the swimming pool, from 1800. Please enter via the South Courtyard Gates. Doors open at 1835.
